Wake Up

Xǐng lái

Wake Up

Nailed to the floor
Awoke in a rubber body

Only to move
As far as 
As stretch was possible

Then to snap
Back to the floor
The nails
To start again

To wake late in the day
In the full furnace
 Of the summer sun

Slithering toward the twilight
Into the thunder
Of a storm

Rolling up a number
Confronting the pain

Lighting some hope
Lightning in the sky

The cool breeze 
Upon the skin 

Starts the flow
Of life again

Lifting the 
Lifeless carcass 

Slowly again

To Stand

To Live

Imagine in your mind

There is a rooftop

With an arrow

On the weathervane

Blowing in the wind

Imagine the arrow

As the state of your mind

Imagine all the world

Is the wind

As you see it

Working for or

Against you

Moving 

Your movement

In the wind

Reveals the direction

Of your mind

Wind is energy

Energy is life

Everybody misses someone

Feeling bad about it is optional

Missing someone is inevitable

Being traumatized over it is optional

When you are ready to realize this

You will throw it out of your life

We survive by celebrating 

The good about those we love

When there are so many good things

To remember and love
